At McInerney Homes UK a large percentage of our turnover will be generated through partnerships with public sector organisations and Housing Associations / RSLs. McInerney adopt a holistic approach to the delivery of our developments, creating the market conditions requisite to stimulate investment in the area. This includes contributing towards improving the economic conditions and employment opportunities within the area, as well as working in partnership to ensure appropriate infrastructures are established.McInerney Partnerships are an investment partner with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

McInerney Partnerships benefits from a vastly experienced team who have years of house expertise in terms of land assembly, design, community consultation, renewable energy/code for sustainable homes assessments, remediation and grant/funding packages to successfully deliver cost effective sustainable homes and communities.

RelationshipsExpertiseVision

Through improving the levels of quality and choice in the housing market, our aim is to create effectively functioning and sustainable housing markets that lead to the establishment of well managed neighbourhoods with a positive and dynamic image. Through the realisation of a step-change in housing aspirations, for both existing local residents as well as potential inward migrants, our vision is that all of our regeneration areas will contribute fully to the sub-regional and regional economies and become places where people will choose to live, work and invest in for years to come.

In our mixed tenure schemes and 100% affordable developments, all of our homes will be built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes as well as considering energy efficiency and the reduction of long term maintenance costs as key factors throughout the design process. We are also actively working with RSL partners to identify cost effective ways of building homes that meet Level 4 and 5 of the Code.

On all schemes we aim to meet or exceed Secure by Design standards, ensuring DQS compliance to deliver seamlessly integrated ‘tenure blind’ mixed tenure schemes. We are also utilising Modern Methods of Construction on several of our schemes by implementing timber frame construction. We have also investigated other forms of MMC, including tunnel form construction, Celcon thin joint, POD systems, hinged roof, and steel frame.

In all of our schemes, we are investing significantly in community engagement and community resources.Working in partnership with the community is a key part of our success and extensive consultation is always carried out with Parish Council (prior to planning and site start and ongoing on a quarterly basis). Community consultation has taken the form of formal meeting events, letter drops, newsletters and we have also sponsored several local festivals and events.

We also consult regularly with the local community via newsletters, open days/events as well as visits to local schools to increase health and safety awareness. We are also working with our supply chain partners to fund personal development opportunities for youths from disadvantaged homes within our development areas. We are looking at the possibility of being able to offer apprenticeships both at McInerney and with our Supply Chain partners.

In the spirit of true partnership working, we also embrace the principles of Egan, Latham and Gershon to increase efficiency and promote collaborative working methods. We utilise performance management frameworks as a tool to support continuous improvement, and regularly benchmark our performance locally, regionally and nationally.
