NATIONAL home builder, McInerney Homes, has won a Gold Award from the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health & Safety Awards 2010.

The highly respected RoSPA Awards scheme aims to reduce the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work and encourages organisations to develop robust health and safety management systems.

McInerney collected its award during a presentation ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, NEC, which ran alongside the Safety & Health Expo 2010, Europe’s premier health and safety at work exhibition.

The home builder was judged not only on its accident records but also on strict standards of management and health and safety performance.

The awards were hosted by Lord Jordan of Bournville, RoSPA President, Lord Hunt of Wirral, RoSPA Vice-President and Lord Brougham and Vaux, RoSPA Vice-President.
