CHRISTMAS CAROLS SUNG BY CHILDREN from Lowton Junior and Infant School created a festive scene for the launch of McInerney Homes’ show apartment at its St Mary’s Grove development in the village on Friday.

They entertained the very first visitors to the luxury two-bedroom show apartment, including the Mayor of Wigan Councillor Eunice Smethurst and Santa Claus, who took time out from his very busy schedule to meet the children and hand out some early Christmas presents!

Giving the best possible Christmas gift to those looking to get on to the property ladder, McInerney Homes is the first house builder to offer apartments in Lowton at prices starting from just £103,995. It also offers 19 three and four-bedroom semi-detached houses.

Councillor Smethurst said: “I am delighted to be invited to the official opening of the show apartment here at St Mary’s Grove. As the first house builder to offer apartments in the village, those local first time buyers who have before now been unable to take that all important first step on to the property ladder will now be able to do so, which is hugely important.

“Having had a good look around the show apartment, I am very impressed with what I have seen. I can safely say that St Marys Grove is a fantastic addition to the village and will provide quality homes to Lowton residents.

“And at the start of December, what better way to get in to the festive mood than with Christmas carols and a meeting with Santa?”

Tracey Lowe, McInerney Homes’ field sales manager, continues: “We pride ourselves on building quality homes for local people, and receiving a stamp of approval from the Mayor is testament to this.

“St Marys Grove will provide homebuyers – whether that’s first or second time buyers, those moving up the ladder or those down-sizing – with a stylish and conveniently located development in which to live.

“The show apartment is certainly the highlight of the development so far as it will give visitors the chance to see exactly what our homes have to offer. Wigan is seeing a vast renaissance at the moment and we are delighted to be a part of it.”

Straddling the A580 East Lancashire Road and situated just under two miles from junction 23 of the M6, commuters can also benefit from excellent links to the surrounding towns and cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Leigh, Warrington, Wigan and St Helens.

To get a taste of life on St Marys Grove, visit the show apartment between 11am and 5pm Thursday to Monday. Alternatively, call 01942 262789 or log on to www.mcinerneyhomes.com.
