The Simpson’s dream life in the country

A nature loving couple are the first to move into the second phase of a luxury countryside development by McInerney Homes.

John and Elaine Simpson now call the Whitton View development in Rothbury their home, and they couldn’t be happier.

The couple have chosen the four bedroom detached Cragside property on the second phase of the popular development for their dream country lives, a far cry from their previous home near Newcastle city centre.

Both Elaine and John have admitted that before the move most of their spare time was spent in the Northumberland countryside, with Rothbury being a firm favourite.

Elaine said: "We’ve always loved Rothbury and the countryside. We’d been looking to move around here for a while and when we saw the new McInerney Homes development we knew it was perfect for us.

"We love the house and the development as a whole, we aren’t overlooked on the front of our property and the views are amazing. We love the local wildlife and since we moved in we’ve already seen a red squirrel! It really is the perfect location for us and the house is exactly what we were looking for."

One of the major attractions of the property is the spaciousness of the double fronted home. As well as the four bedrooms, main bathroom and En suite the home also comprises of separate living and dining rooms and a kitchen and large family area which is ideal for entertaining family and friends.

As well as the impressive Cragside there is also a choice of other family homes on the development including the four bedroom three storey detached Shirlaw priced from £320,000, the four bedroom detached Wreighburn priced from £255,000 as well as the brand new three bedroom mews style Wagtail home from £195,000.

McInerney Homes is currently, and for a limited time only, giving purchasers on Whitton View a special gift to help them settle into their new community. Free membership for 12 months to either Rothbury Golf Club or the National Trust comes with the company’s compliments for every home bought on the second phase.

Rothbury Golf Club is a parkland course with spectacular views and is just a short drive away from Whitton View. Cragside House, a grand Victorian mansion which is part of the National Trust and is set in 1000 acres of beautiful gardens, lakes and tumbling streams is also situated close to the development.

In the heart of rural Northumberland, Rothbury is surprisingly less than 30 miles to the north of Newcastle, only 12 miles from Alnwick and 15 miles from Morpeth. The town is famous for attracting visitors from far and wide. The views from all sides are tremendous with Cragside, Simonside and the Cheviots a little further afield.
