McInerney Homes found the perfect couple to put their Redditch development to the test – and it has passed with flying colours.

Emma and Mark Smith are the first people to move into the Hedgerows development in Greenlands Drive, where the company is creating 89 new homes.

Emma deals in recruitment and does most of her work from home, while Mark is a self-employed carpenter and has been closely inspecting the McInerney Homes quality of build.

And both are delighted with their four-bedroom, three-storey Ash property.

Emma said: "Because of what Mark does for a living he has certainly been running his eye over all of the woodwork in the house.

"You normally expect quite a long snagging list when you purchase a new property but, even with his trained eye, we’ve found very little!"

She added: "We are very pleased with the property – it’s spacious and is much higher spec than most of the new homes we saw on the market.

"That’s really important when you work from home because you spend much more of your day here than people who go out to work.

"Because of the way the property is arranged, there is plenty of space – we’ve even got a VIP room for guests!"

The couple have moved from West Heath in Birmingham after taking advantage of McInerney Homes’ part-exchange deal and are enjoying the convenience of the location.

Emma said: "Here, we are closer to the countryside and it’s much easier to get around in the car.

"But, equally, the Redditch railway station is on the same line that we used to use and means we can get into the centre of Birmingham for places such as the Bull Ring really easily."

Of the 89 properties being created by McInerney Homes at Hedgerows, 37 have already sold.

Two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments start from £149,950 while the four-bedroom houses start from £207,950.
